Correct. The action performed on them is to scrub the clothes, hence 'scrubber', but the device itself was definitely known as a washboard. A selection of links:

This spy-cam is only good for a graphics-free view at the moment, but they are still not getting the point of using it to show what they can't be allowed to on tv.

all it is is a different angle of the main feed. hardly 'spying' on something

this channel sucks right now.
