In this case there's little difference. He would have been offered a new deal if this hadn't happened. It's just convenient for them that his current contract was up.

I think the BBC will have to admit it has shot itself in the foot all the way through this. I'm now wondering how many people right now are ringing TV Licensing and cancelling their TV licence?

Very good whilst it lasted, gutted its over but I really hope all three of them come back with another channel and absolutely obliterate whatever poor imposter the BBC create to replace it. It makes the whole issue of the licence fee even more stupid now, if I didn't hate Sky's F1 coverage so much I'd be watching NOTHING on the BBC lol

God damn those leftists liberals who take offence at every little thing our poor little Jeremy says. The man is a fucking hero.... why do they not understand that he makes a good program and that means he can say what he likes and treat people like shit!! For shame on them!!

I am just glad he will be able to escape the draconian BBC who for some reason do not condone the assault of its lower paid staff and go to a channel that appreciates him. Luckily he has great friends in May and Hammond.. who rightly say he is just a bit of a cock... as they suckle on his monetary teat.

Disappointed though I am about the show, they did the right thing.
