I doubt if they could ever re-write the rule but it's s common sense that the red card was rescinded so much has been written about video replays for the referees over the weekend I'm wondering how the hell it could be implemented, I know the Dutch FA are planning to run a pilot in their cup competition next season and the FA are waiting to see how that pilot turns out first. Yet with the introduction of goal line technology this season I don't think there have been that many incidents for it to be used that I can remember. but I'm sure I've said my piece on video replays before and I'll state it again. If it is to be implemented then it is has to be implemented in a way where the flow of the game isn't interrupted too much and where it will cause the referee extra time to be added to the game to allow for it. Any incorrect decisions should viewed in the half time break between the referee and video referee
and both managers should be informed of what decision was incorrect but they do it pretty well in rugby union and rugby league pretty well but how do you think it should be implemented as such?
also one other thing I would love to see refs explain decisions after a game too so that we know why a particular decision was taken. But above all else sure it would be better to have four touch judges (a better word than linesman) two each side of the pitch and each half one near the centre circle and one by each penalty area, would that be a better system?

Seems a bit crazy though that the FA panel can rescind a red card when the referee has made a mistake and sent the wrong player off, but can't do the reverse. ie give a red card (and a suspension) when the ref has wrongly given a yellow for an obvious red card offence or, worse still, failed to act on an offence he has seen (and mentions in his report) which should have been a sending off. Surely it should work both ways?

wouldn't be surprised if he isn't on the list for this weekend...

Just watching Match Of The Day and note how when Dave McKay was mentioned how John Motson conventionally forgot to mention that he was also a Scotland Legend too

This is what piss's us lot north of the border off so much when we see English biased commentators like him, the sooner he retires the better - I can't stand that man

He mentions all the English teams he has played for but no mention of Hearts or Scotland - Shame on you Motson.

MOTD is not a scottish football program im sure other than Rangers and Celtic about 95% of the english viewers dont even know who hearts are.

Do you know just how arrogant and disrespectful you sound there mate. Match Of The Day is also broadcast up here in Scotland too. Hearts are one of the oldest clubs in the world.

Motson is full of shit. Dave McKay was a Scotland legend and to omit mention of this fact was nothing short of disgraceful. Ok then let's assume then that nobody south of the border has even heard of Hearts which is a crock of shit if you ask me but I'll take your word as gospel for the argument of my post.

So what about Scotland I suppose going by your post then nobody's even heard of this Country either yet you share the same border with us. Come back to me when you've got a more credible argument to explain the ignorance of that twat Motson.
