Surely for ETV to have European licence from BS then they would have to put the channel out on 906 Dont think BS would be happy to do that

I can sort of (emphasis on "sort of") understand where they're coming from.
Given that they downright despise freeloaders, they couldn't care less if 2.000 of them angrily cried "Ooh if nightshows are like this, I'm not going to watch anymore!". Financially, this doesn't change anything for them.

In theory.

What they don't realize, and actually what they have always failed to realize, is that by doing basically everything they have done from a few years since today, they alienate their paying customers more than they gather new ones. And we all can agree that an entire channel cannot thrive on a few, filthy-rich lonely German businessmen alone. Especially because those have their own favorite models, whereas salaries have to be given to every single working person in there.

So, freeloaders might stop watching (consider that, for them, occasional customers aren't that different from freeloaders), but they're also going to lose many occasional customers (like me) who might be put off by the new rules and regulations. There is a different 'flair' when a girl is in the nightshow rather than in an Exclusive show, and for example if I like seeing show X from model Y in the nightshow, I might have zero interest in seeing show X from model Y in an Exclusive, so that is already lost money for them.

Of course this goes both ways too, there are some customers who prefer seeing their model alone with no camera switching in an Exclusive show rather than a 'messy' show. It just remains to be seen which group is bigger.

There are only one or two winners in this. They are not Ofcom, the channel or the viewers. They are Germany and Italy.

Germany in particular wanted to reduce the content of the channel but ultimately the Austrian regulator had a little bite. Germany won the 'day-time' issue but on the 'night-time'.

Now, at a stoke, they win. It's a massive 'own goal'

The channel might well treat their viewers/callers with contempt. Those same viewers/callers might complain. Yet those same viewers/callers are addicted to the tv. They, atleast some of them, will still call. They will still request that PPV stuff.

My interest in this will be to see just how it plays out. BS created their own problem by hiring an additional transponder without having a credible service to use it. With this 'partnership' with ETV they still do not have a credible service. Channels are cutting back since it seems that the golden days for all are over. If you want to survive then you adapt. BS are trying the opposite - speculate to accumulate. Yet the crazy thing is that they, theoretically, have more than enough girls to make use of that transponder. Why they have not speaks volumes.

They are already thinking to change something in the new formula, you may read on the wall of the etvshow site in the answer to an italian user.
