This wasn't a teaseshow/nightshow, it was called "daytime extra" which is a completely new idea. No adult talk was allowed. At the moment Lucy Anne, Gemma Hiles and Cara Brett are the daytime babes doing tease shows. Cara does a great job, Gemma is ok but doesn't show her tits and Lucy just lays on a bed without much movement and also won't show her tits. One or two of the newer babes may do tease shows as well but i can't remember their names. But they are taking adult calls. You also say that "S66 does need babes bringing in calls at the moment" Your kind of implying that they're struggling at the moment. If that's the case then what's wrong with the redlight/playboy system? They have babes taking adult calls after 9pm. What's going to earn the channel more money - adult calls or non adult calls? If the daytime babes don't want to take adult calls then they should go home at or before 9pm or just work the breakfast show.

An issue for me here is that there is no OSG or other type of alert that the girl is not taking adult calls if you watch the show on the webstream. And in this day and age, there has to be a fair proportion of callers (myself included) that do that and are therefore fooled into calling what they can rightly assume is an adult chat line only to find that it isn't.

(Full disclosure, I didn't actually see the Evelyn show, so someone will no doubt correct me if I'm wrong. But I did fall for this once with Scarlet, so I assume that they pulled the same stunt last night)

Anyway, I have always said that there is a world of difference between disappointing viewers and misleading callers for the simple reason that money changes hands. The former is just bad marketing. The latter is bordering on fraud.

I've largely sided with S66 on the whole "tease show" debate, but I put this into the same category as the Cara Brett scam -- just another way to bilk their own customers. If Ofcom was empowered to do them for this kind of behavior (instead of the occasional slip or flash) then I'd be the first one in the parade.

All of that said, if I had to guess the reasoning from your useful list of options, I'd say...

So I'm not that anxious about the "writing on the wall". I think it is simply indicative that:

(1) S66 has stripped its nightshow cast to the point that it is constantly trying to fill dead air. For that, someone should be sacked.

(2) S66 have no problem sleeping at night at the thought of customers being intentionally ripped off. For that, someone should (ideally) walk unsuspectingly into the path of a falling air conditioner.

Things are looking a bit grim on nights for S66 at the moment.

I'm assuming Kerry Lee won't be seen for a while due to the boob job, Hannah Martin is not back until March (though the flash sale of all her outfits on Twitter - including the Gold swimsuit) suggests it may be more than that. To top it all, Clare told one of the forum guys on a call that Thursday (and I'm assuming he meant next Thursday) would be her last show before leaving the industry.

Kiera Knightly is apparently going to do nights but she is on the recovery path from a boob job too.

I'm loathe to call it a crisis but with the every extended day show stints from Gemma, Lucy Anne and now Evelyn it does look like S66 are having to be creative about filling the gaps.

If you were S66 you'd be getting an industrial load of cotton wool to wrap around Kandi and Olivia right now

Good points Goodfella, you're thinking pretty much along the same lines I usually would except this was announced on Twitter as non-adult chat. Therefore that does throw a small spanner in this 'rip-off' theory which is why I found this course of action (the Tweet) especially weird. The non-adult chat message was only delivered on Twitter and not on-screen, so the argument could still stand and possibly hold some water? So in this case we're assuming Joe public probably won't check Twitter or this forum and still get reeled in. So why would they gamble this for no reason and bother to mention it at all? From their perspective; surely that's madness and contributes towards 'defeating the object'?
So incompetence and bad organisation still remains as the most likely suspect I'm lead to believe, but this happens night-after-night these days so again, it almost seems like they want to do these type of shows rather than having to? Either that or their incompetence knows no bounds (obviously this incompetence most definitely includes not hiring new talent immediately due to the apparent lack of girls - which won't have happened over night either) which then begs the question, how are they managing to even stay in business with what would have to be such dreadful management? This has been going on for some time now and I'm struggling to believe it all boils down to one fuck-up after another? Really? If so, that's shocking.

Well Adele is into her thirties and I think Clare is heading that way; if you're going to want another career you can't hang around when your CV says "Age: 35. Previous Experience: Getting boobs out on TV". Unless they want to go the sexy MILF route (and to be honest Adele appears to be ageless so that won't work!!) the 30 mark would be the time to get out.
