Ana Ivanovic - 2014 Australian Open in Melbourne 1/19/14 -

The ladies tournament is a little more open with Serena gone but in some ways it merely opens the door for Azarenka to defend her title.
Unless Li Na, Ivanovic or Sharapova can raise their level it should be Azarenka's title imo.
As for the men it is hard to see past a Djokovic v Nadal final really.

Ivanovic and Li Na have impressed me and could dethrone Vika. Shame that Ana's victory is being tainted by Serena's coach leaking that she has a "back problem" even though she served 12 aces in the match which is no mean feat for someone with such a problem

Yes, it was comical that a story about a shock upset, which isn't that flattering either, becomes "yeah, but she should have won, really"

Yes absolutely - another excellent match between Djokovic and Wawrinka with the Swiss number two getting revenge for last year. I'd have to back Berdych though in the semi final as that quarter final would have took a lot out of Wawrinka.

Really excited by this Canadian youngster Bouchard - fantastic game and obviously has a bright future. First Canadian singles semi finalist, male or female, in any major, since 1984.

Radwanska or should it RadWANDska, with some of the magical shots she came up with today through to semi final beating Victoria Azarenka. It leaves Li Na as only Grand Slam winner of the four semi finalists.

Murray's out, Federer through to the Nadal semi final on Friday. I don't think Murray had high expectations after the injury lay off, so a quarter final and a good fight against Federer is a pretty good result. Glad to see Federer finding the form of 8-9 years ago though. Can see him winning it if he can somehow get past Nadal.
