Although he has just agreed a new contract which has increased his buyout clause to £22m.

I have to ask why does Rodgers keep letting the team sit back in the second half of games, every game this season we have looked like conceding in the 2nd half, we looked poor against villa in 2nd half and again tonight and we conceded.

I guess it shows you can't expect any cup game to be easy

Defensively in this game alarm bells are ringing & clearly we still need a few bodies through the door,definitly a center back.

We are playing Notts County.... not even their full team and struggling with our full squad, I do wonder sometimes what Rodgers says to the players at half time..... "ok go easy now, sit back and bring pressure on yourselves and force things"?

It's basic things we struggle to do, our strengths are supposed to be passing and keeping the ball, yet the last 3 games in the second half we just give it away needlessly and panic and it all looks very desperate at the back...

Also now when United walk over us on Sunday Rodgers will use the excuse we had a game mid week.... it was him who picked all of our first team...

And still has not adressed any of our issues we have last season.... and our new leftback is injured and now Kolo is out too by the looks of it...

Yep....Kolo looks like he's done a groin,so that's 3 injuries & down to ten,It's turning in to a bit of a mare. (Update) thank god Sturridge is keeping up his good form.(update) what a beauty from Hendo.

They say Skrtel could be back for Sunday though, so at least SOME positive news on the injury front for you.

Jeez fella, wouldn't want you in the trenches with me! Our best start to a season for years and you're saying that? Get a grip lad.

They had two chances and scored twice. Young Wisdom was at fault for them both. We hit the bar and post 3 or 4 times, must've had 30 odd attempts, could've had 10 on another night!

Can't wait for Sunday.
