Cissokho has confirmed that personal terms with Liverpool have been agreed but the clubs are still negotiating the nature of the deal that would send the French international to Anfield.

Speaking to Le10Sport, Cissokho said: "Liverpool came to me and it’s true that I have agreed to join them. Now it's down to the clubs to decide a transfer deal."

Other developments ahead of the new season - I was well chuffed earlier to see that Jamie Carragher is getting a slot on Sky Sport's Monday Night Football alongside Gary Neville. I reckon it needed a shake up - the other bloke that was there... Ed something... he was a bit bland. Should be a cracking evening on Monday nights this season.

Carragher for me talks a lot of common sense. He was speaking earlier about Suarez. Quite rightly he said there's ways and means of doing things - and talking to people in the right way. Suarez isn't doing himself any favours. Fair play to Brendan Rodgers and John Henry for standing up against player power. I do wish though that Gordon Taylor at the PFA wouldn't stick his nose in. I know its his job but he'd be best keeping out of it this time and allowing Liverpool to deal with Suarez themselves.

So Suarez asks the PFA for assistance in his dispute with Liverpool and somehow you regard that as Gordon Taylor's fault?

He didn't want to help him in the evra case did he?...
