But that article doesn't say what you claim it does. Maybe you could read it again.

^^^ Another thing to consider in the topsy-turvy world of football finance is this :

Let's suppose Real finally buy bale for 100m. Reports suggest they would pay in installments, paying just 25m this season. They have already sold players such as Higuain, meaning they could possibly make a net GAIN on tranfers this summer, despite that 100m deal for Bale.

In contrast, Spurs sell Bale for 100m, but only receive 25m now. Given their existing purchases, and the likelihood they will buy more if Bale is sold, Spurs could end up in a net DEBT on transfers despite that 100m deal.

That's the crazy world of football and money for you, sell a player for 100m and lose money, buy for 100m and make money

great to see lambert called up to the england squad he has worked his way up from league 2 over his career, so what if he is 31 he deserves to be called up plus he is better than welbeck anyway who only gets in the squad cos he is young and plays for manutd

You're quoting selectively with the intention of distorting the meaning of the article.

The article explains very clearly that Real Madrid are not 590m euros in debt.
