Most of the sources i trust are saying we've bid mate so i'm sticking to that! The fella who sprung the story says we've been in talks for two weeks, release clause now triggered.

Diego Costa is a good player and a lunatic at the same time! Lol. I watched him quite a lot last year and he winds opponents up constantly and i think most people think he crosses the line but everybody has their own opinion i guess. Half would love him and half would hate him. Him and Suarez up front would be headlines and controversy every week!! lol.

He had an 'interesting' game against Pepe and Ramos last year.

I like him, see him a lot last season when he break into the team, he take no shit off anybody he also make his international debut for Brasil, he does have a temper but he scares defender with his power.

With Pepe and Ramos he give them some of own medicine they do this to everybody all time.

I like the cut of his jib He'd be a f#$king beast at Anfield....love it

when he call pepe "portugese son of a bitch" lol he will need to calm down a little though

Do you think £22m is a bit too much for him Fernandez? I only watched him one season, last year and that seems a bit too much money to me. I can be completely wrong though of course, it's all opinion. Looked like about £15m would be a fairer price to me.

I do like him as a player though, antics aside.

Looks an explosive player. Could tear the league apart if you ask me. Beast. He'll be looking for a place in the Brazil world cup squad as well. 20 goals in 36 games last season in a side where Falcao snapped up the majority of chances...

Well if you look at some of the prices players are going for then I think it's not too bad, he is a good player though. I think he will fit in well too with Lucas & Coutinho. Also he was loan to Celta Vigo for some time so he play with Aspas also.

they paid £35m for andy carroll, £20m for downing and £20m for an unproven jordan henderson so they don't mind throwing cash around, costa is a good player though
