I don't think shakhtar would sell him as they are possibly going to loose fernandinho to city or chelsea and recently lost willian to anjhi, I hope we get tello from barca though or maybe Somebody like Varela from Porto. Another player unheard of to some is ilsinho, he move from Sao Paulo to Shakhtar, he can play as full back or winger so would give good options and is very quick and skillfull, he is about 26 i think and would fit in great with Coutinho, Suarez and Sturridge.

As a city fan i can tell you we took this kid on trial and wanted to sign him but it was absolutely impossible to get him a work permit. So we let him go back to Al Ain for now but he is keen and so are we to get it done when we can but until he's eligible for a work permit it just cant happen. It's a waiting game. Hopefully he isn't snatched by a club from another country with less strict work permit rules, like Italy.

Not especially thrilled with the signing either

Personally I see him as a squad player & not a regular first team player,so in that sense he's not a bad signing,as long as he can keep the timber off he should be ok.

In all seriousness,with Jamie retiring and Skrtel's future uncertain,we need a bit off experience at the back and don't get me wrong,I'm not exactly thrilled with the signing but I'm willing to give the lad a chance.

i give him a chance, i just dont think he is any better than skrtel or anybody else we already have... i dont see what skrtel has done wrong to be dropped like he has. I really hope Rodgers sorts something out for coates too because he should either play, go out on loan for experience maybe at west brom or be sold, not left to sit on the bench or in the reserves, he is a great defender and full international.

Toure's a real shrewd signing for me. The lad's a winner. He wont play every game but his experience could prove crucial for us next season. To get a player like him, with that experience, on a free and on low wages, is good business.

Our centre backs were bullied at times last season, Skrtel in particular. That's why he was dropped and the reason he'll probably be sold. We were diabolical at defending set pieces as well.

If we get Kyriakos Papadopoulos, an absolute monster of a defender, a proper powerhouse and Tiago Ilori, said to be a better prospect than Rafael Varane. We'll be looking great at the back.

If you've never seen Ilori, he's one of the fastest players in the game, so quick he broke all the sprint records set by Ronaldo and Nani at Sporting. Elegant and classy on the ball, he looks a real gem.
