Been a while since i posted in here. I would rather see Liverpool not in europa next year, If they cant make top 4 then i dont think we should bother with europa league next year and push for the league/top 4. The football we are playing this year has been great, some games have been frustrating but since 22nd decemeber.... every game that we've won in the league has been cleansheets and won by 3 goals or more! so there some positives from that. As for Coutinho, what a magician, its been a while since we had a player like him, last player to possess that was Steve McManaman, can only see great things from him now. As for Sturridge, he will be a major factor next year as he will be the main man in attack even if Suarez wins the Golden Boot this year. Sturridge will get that Gong next year if he stays fit. This weekend Game against Spurs will be a big factor to where we finish this year, lets hope for Suarez Sake, he outshines Bale

I don't understand any supporter that doesn't want his team to be playing in Europe?

We'll give Spurs, Chelsea and Everton good hidings at Anfield and get 4th.

why don't you get a life and quit picking bones out of people? Jheeeeez!!!! If you look back i said i want us to finish 6th (if we don't get 4th) so that we don't waste time in Europa again.

I personally don't see the point financially, The Premier League is getting harder & harder. As much as we hold hope for next season, to finish as high as possible, 4th at least I'd prefer, the strain put on players now a days is crazy, which makes it even harder unless you've got a squad like Man City.

We won't be spending money on 5 players in the summer without anyone leaving, so our squad will be the same size & of similar experience or less if you factor in Carra, so I think a season where the Premier League is the sole priority will do us good & we'll see how far behind we are if at all.

Don't forget the 2013 Confederations Cup will be held in Brazil in June/July with Brazil, Spain, Japan, Mexico, Uruguay, Tahiti, Italy, Nigeria all taking part, we don't need Luis Suarez ending up like Fernando Torres, where he barely had time for a 2/3 month rest.

Thats upwards of 8 of our current squad who could be playing in the 13/14 tournaments. Luis Suarez & Lucas will no doubt play in all three.

All the big clubs have players going to these summer international tournaments... We're no different mate. It's part and parcel of it. Suarez is cut from a different rock Mitchell, don't worry about him.

When we're travelling here, there and everywhere, to the back of beyond sometimes, all over Europe supporting the team the last thing on my mind is how much dough we're getting for playing in the tournament. It's not about that for a supporter. I'm dreaming of Amsterdam in May and another huge European Final, another night to remember. Another story to tell...

Getting real about our.... The future of Liverpool Football Club is about how we do on a business level, don't forget it was you who suggested reading An Epic Swindle, that could easily happen again.

Luis Suarez is a human being made of the same stuff as you & me, he will get tired & it will effect us on the pitch.

The Amsterdam dream is already dead lad. I may sound like a broken record but I'm just being realistic, I think the way the league is now, if we had two seasons in the European Cup we'd be in a position to sign the two or three players we need to challenge the top two.
There's a number of Liverpool fans who think at the beginning of every season that we'll challenge for the title, thats laughable, but as I said two season of money would put us in a great position, especially now we know we can't just go throwing it around, so the signing made wouldn't be the best possible but the exact players we need to benifit our system.

There's two threads on this forum where we come to this point every now & again, so the same as last time & the time before that, etc, etc. I guess we'll just agree to disagree, that goes for Stefan Struve aswell.

As a fan I'm intereseted in winning trophies and entertaining games of football not how much money we have saved by not playing in europe...

I just blame Damien Comolly (think that's his name) who spent all that money in Kenny's first full season back in charge. £20m on downing and same on Hendo. It looks like Henderson will now be a decent player, still unsure about Downing. But we could of spent that £40m on 5 or 6 top class players, and we'd probably be in a decent position financially and in the league.

We are fans mate. Not owners or chairmen.

Every person on this thread should buy An Epic Swindle if they don't have it by the way.

That scenario had nothing to do with us not playing in the Champions League Mitchell... Two cowboys, two liars, two cheats, two scumbags who hated each other trying their best to kill Liverpool FC. That was the problem. It won't happen again.

I want us to win every game we play, to finish as high up the table as we can. I want us playing in Europe no matter what cup we're playing for.
