A representative from the Football Fans Federation was being interviewed earlier today about the cost of the Arsenal tickets that City fans turned down. He mentioned that Chelsea charged Arsenal supporters £90 when they played them last.
He went on to say that the amount of money being pumped into the game next season is astronomical. Each of the clubs in England could afford to reduce the cost of every ticket by £35 per game and that they would still have more money coming in than what has been available this season. If that is true then there it shows the disproportionate amount of money the EPL receives compared to what lower league cubs receive. Whilst his argument holds great merit I bet he and his federation would be the first to moan if the EPL was bereft of top players due to a realignment of the money throughout the various leagues.

Talent outside the 'EPL' not being unearthed because of 'top' foreign players being shipped in and subsequently young British players are falling further behind the pecking order. You only have to see how the National side is second rate to the 'EPL' to see football in this country is very sick.

There is a wealth of talent in the football league as well as diamonds in the non league as well. If only smaller clubs could afford better scouting systems through out the UK the find these players instead of relying on out of contract misfits filtering down from the 'EPL' collection another pay check and ego massage.

Chelsea are at home to Arsenal next week and have charged Arsenal supporters £56 and £59 for tickets (lower tier and upper tier), so I sincerely doubt that it was £90 last season.

Just reporting what the guy said. He implied they put the prices up just because it was Arsenal. When you represent a national fans organisation on live tv you expect impartiality and correctly researched information.

£90 . You could buy a Wolves player for that the way the team is playing this season .

Arsenal have high ticket prices to pay off the cost of stadium.

Been hearing on sky that Loic Remy will be signing for Newcastle.
