What's he gone there for then? Surely he knows they will be in the market for bigger named players, he's hardly a world beater... All they have bought him for is to fill the gap sturridge left to make the numbers up. If he wanted regular football why did he not stay at newcastle? Not so long ago he was saying how much he loved newcastle and playing there...

To be honest if you were in Ba's shoes, which would you rather, compete at the very top with Chelsea were you can play with better players around you or play for Newcastle, who are currently fighting from relegation?

What's he gone there for? Simple. A chance to play in the Champions League (if they finish top 4) a chance to compete for a title, and a chance to potentially win trophies.
He is a proven Premier League striker and Chelsea currently are very light up front. All it'll take is an injury to Torres he'll be given his chance. If he takes that chance, or his chances in the 10-15 minutes he might find himself in the first team regularly.

Let's be honest, Drogba was hardly known as a world beater was he? He'd had a decent season and Chelsea brought him at an over inflated price.

Ba isn't getting any younger and a bit of a read up in to his background will tell you this bloke has done things the hard way. He got turned away from Barnsley once upon a time! With all due respect to Newcastle, if any of the top sides come in for one of their players, they are going to seriously consider any offer.

For far Liverpool are 2 nil up and Newcastle one nil up.
