Up to this season I thought he's been the best keeper in the premier for a few years. Just remembering he said something on the channel 5 pre season documentary along the lines of, that he had had enough of football life, spending too much time living in hotels away from his family and it was getting him down. Perhaps it's affecting him.

good point, i remember seeing that too, still tho rodgers should have the guts to drop him if he's not performing , when we were having our best run of the season Brad Jones was in goal and in my opinion didn't put a foot wrong yet he gets dropped again as soon as reina's fit regardless of all the howlers he's made this season.

Also with assaidi rodgers keeps playing sterling when the lads shattered and assaidi isn't making the bench, from what iv'e seen of him in the europa league games he is just what were missing in attack, he takes on defenders and more often than not passes them with ease, they are always on the back foot against him. There has been games this season when we have been crying out for somebody like him in attack to produce something.

I think Coates deserves a run in the team too, skrtel has made a lot of errors this season that have costed us.

The first thing I'd be setting up is Andy Carroll's recall, give ourselves some presence and aerial threat going forward. Been saying all season, if you watch our play, it's tidy, good on the eye and free flowing but the final ball in the majority of our attacks is a cross or a little stood up ball, perfect for Andy. The amount of times i'm stood thinking that. Lost count. Rodgers likes quick, mobile, versatile forwards but we could still have the versatility with Carroll in the line up. Suarez in behind and two wide men. More than enough versatility and pace between Sterling, Suso, Sturridge, Borini and Ince if he signs.

We're getting there slowly, i like what the manager's trying to do but like he's said a few times now, we need to earn the right to play, we need some more steely characters for me. Rodgers needs the tools, hopefully he'll get 2 or 3 new ones in January! Results like Villa and Stoke are boot in the guts. Last night was f****g horrid, always is there.

Consistency, that's the key, been our problem for ages.

Carroll spends most of his time injured. hes played maybe 3 games this season. I'd let him go to West Ham or newcastle for around 8mil and use the money on somebody like llorrente if we want a bigger target man.

Wouldn't say he's always out injured, played 47 times for us last season. He's a big lad and needs to be playing regular to keep his fitness up but who doesn't? Would love him back. He's unplayable and defenders fear him, that's what we need more of.

We'd be in top 4 just now if Carroll had been kept for me.
