The Bourne Legacy 8/10. A worthy successor. They have been clever with this and hinted at the previous Bourne movies without copying them. Recommended.

Total Recall on Blue Ray 9/10. This includes both the cinematic version and the Directors cut, which has 20 minutes extra footage. A thoroughly enjoyable reboot of the Arnie classic. It follows the basic premise of the original but has quite a few quality deviations to make it stand on its own merit. Impressive SFX with more than a passing nod to Blade runner. Recommended.

The Hobbit, saw the film in 3D and boy it looked great. Felt a little to start off with but after a while the film kicks off. Great special effects, great acting from the all the actors you really felt for all the characters in the film and as for action it was non stop roller coaster, can't wait for the second film. 9/10.

Did it do the book justice?

For me personally it did, bare in mind there is a difference between the book and the film version without spoiling the film you can see why parts of the film are different baring in mind its gonna be three films so its gonna be different but it still has that Tolkien feel to it, some things are either different or not there but wouldn't be surprised if there was a extended cut of the film in the future as they did that with the other films and it filled missing stuff. To someone else they may feel a little different to it but myself i really enjoyed it.

The Rise Of The Guardians:

An excellent animated family film, with a nice story, filled with great characters from your childhood with great voice overs from Hugh Jackman as the Easter Bunny, and Jude Law as the Evil Pitch, this really is the perfect holiday treat. 9/10
