I'm definitely more than pleased now after getting that crucial win against WiganBig Grin

I think the game would have been tighter if Wigan had 11 men on the pitch and I don't that was a sending off, as it was a soft foul to give away the penalty.

The most pleasing thing about this win is that we played the ball more often on the ground compared to previous games, which got the best of players like Cisse, Anita and Marveaux.

We got two injuries to two crucial players in Ba and Santon. I think I'm more concerned about losing Santon than Ba, as he has arguably been our best player this season because he's been fantastically consistent. That might sound weird seen as how Ba is our top scorer this season, but it may help Cisse get into scoring form, as he will most likely play up front on his own against Fulham with Ben Arfa and Marveaux down the wings.

Looking at Marveaux tonight, he could be our answer to having a Ben Arfa type player on the left wing.

Also I find it laughable that the commentator called Williamson reliableBounce

A Dutch man, who worked as a linesman during his son's youth football game, has died in hospital after being attacked by several angry players.
He was supposed to have been beaten and kicked by young footballers from Amsterdam club Nieuw Sloten after their away match at Buitenboys Almere on Sunday.
The 41-year-old collapsed and was taken to hospital several hours after the incident, with his eath being announced on Monday evening.

RE: Football Banter
Well I think its fair to say that I think Ba will leave Newcastle in January.

Contract talks are still ongoing, but I heard that Ba wants his wages doubled, which Ashley will most certainly not match those demands.

I think his agents are demanding it more than Ba himself, they have been a real nuisance for the last few months, by constantly telling Pardew to play Ba all the time or to play him in his right position. If his agents are interfering like that then the best thing to do is to just sell him. Its disappointing that he has to go, as he has been great for us, but unfortunately his agents don't appreciate that we gave their client a second chance when nobody else would touch him with a barge pole. But I wish Ba luck wherever he goes. At least we make a £7.5 million profit when we sell him in January.

Perhaps it will be a blessing in disguise, as it would surely let Cisse flourish, as he would be the main man up front. As a replacement for Ba, I would like us to buy Negredo or Sow to keep the goals flowing.

Its hard to know where he would go though, the only team I see him going to are Liverpool to be honest, but it depends if they are interested in him as well.

Well if we take them all seriously and put our strongest team out, we can certainly go far in the cup competitions.

We should be trying to win a trophy now and winning the FA cup would be a start because we are certainly not going to win the Premier League or Champions League any time soon thats for sure.

Again though, what we do in the January transfer window will define our season.

Rumours today that Arsenal may be interested.

He's too old and expensive for Wenger to be interestedBounce

Arsenal do need another forward though, as I expect Walcott to leave Arsenal, so I wouldn't be surprised if Arsenal buy Ba.

I might be wrong but i thought the clause in ba's contract which will let him go for 7mil or however much meant that ba kept most of the transfer fee himself.

So basically not much good news for us and we get fucked over twice.

I guess I should blame the person, who put the clause in Ba's contract.

By the way tonight's Champions League matches are pointless and boring. Nothing to play for in any of the groups and its basically a night for international club friendlies.

Yeah SKY have done a real bummer with these two although I suspect they were agreed which matches would be shown before anything was decided. Just a chance for players to showcase their abilities I suppose.
