US TV Shows - Discussion (Inc New Shows/Cancellations)

The River

Just finished watching tonight's episode,and it just keeps getting better.
I can't for the life of me,work out why they canned this show,two possibility's, (1)Financial (Does look costly)...(2)American tv execs seem not to credit it's own populace with the ability to grasp any form of complexity in a tv show,they done the exact same thing with Flash Forward.
Oh well...I'll just enjoy until it finishes (Dumb Yanks)

shows are either judged on viewing figures, demographic ratings or both. body of proof on nbc got viewing figures but failed hit its demographic ratings yet a reality crap show on the same channel gets half the viewing figures but hits their demographic ratings.

CBS has now casted actor Brandon T. Jackson to play the lead role of Axel Foley's son in the Beverly Hills Cop TV Series, Eddie Murphy is also planning to reprise his original role in a guest-star capacity with the focus of the series being on the son. The Shield" creator Shawn Ryan will write the pilot with Murphy executive producing. The tone of the show is said to be an hourlong procedural, blending action and comedy.

The Secret Circle suffered a similar fate, good viewing figures but wasn't doing enough with the other targets...it's such a shame when shows go out like that.

As for Grimm, it just gets better and better.
