RE: Football Banter
Not at all,in today's society people have specifically designed businesses to cater for individual/individuals needs...IE-Women only cab services-Gay bars and the like.
I'm not saying get rid of the PFA,I'm saying a Black players union can quite easily sit alongside and even work with the PFA.
Talking from experience,it is easier to talk with people who actually know first hand, the issues off the subject matter, and more black & Ethnic players would feel comfortable coming forward, instead off feeling that it is not worth the hassle that goes with dealing with the PFA.
I know a lot off people won't agree,as clearly just been indicated, but it's an opinion shared by many a black players in the game.
It's sad that it has come to black players having to call for this union, especially in this day & age,but it just go to show that racism in football has & will not be irradicated unless more is done, and if that means a black players union to help bring to light and fight against it,I for one,am all for it.

Not at all? Excluding people from organisations because of their race, is racist. If there was a "white players union" that too would be racist if they exclude people because of their race.

I don't think there is a racism problem in English football nowadays. A couple of immature men calling each other names on a football pitch doesn't constitute any kind of major problem in my opinion. They should be punished appropriately by the proper people. Football does not need organisations like a "black players union", that will do nothing to help.

Football players have never had it easier.

Also, it's interesting hearing your views and looking at the person you have in your avatar.

You are right. Excluding people from organisations because of their race is racist. It's also a criminal offence under the Race Relations Act. This is the problem the BNP had in 2009 when the Equality and Human Rights Commission threatened to take them to court on the grounds that the BNP's constitution restricting membership to white people was clearly illegal.

Again,I reiterate,my opinion is not based on any specific individual case, and a black players union would be beneficial,if it means more players coming forward with ligitimate cases.
Regarding racism in football,It's just as prevalent as it has ever been,It's just more subtle in It's appearance ,whether people choose to believe or not,and as regards players having it easy....being a person off color earning 100.000k a week should not mean you must accept being racially abused.
My Suarez Avatar, well what can say? I'm still not convinced about the charges tabled against him,no witnesses on or off the pitch, only evra's word.
Try to understand my opinion,I'm not saying it should be a them and us type situation,I believe they can work side by side quite easily.
Hey!!!! It's my opinion, which I will happily stand by,and please note, I also respect your and others who share your opinion.

I didn't plan on commenting again, but I feel I have to since you just said this.

At no point did I say anything even close to what you just said.

Compare what football grounds used to be like, players having "monkey" noises aimed at them every time they touched the ball, as well as bananas being thrown on the pitches and other disgusting racist chants aimed at them.

What was it Chris Kamara said recently, that modern players don't know they're born compared to what him and other players had to go through back then.

There is no major problem in my opinion. You could argue that punishments for the very rare cases that do come up should be harsher than what they are now, but no racist organisations need to be created. The thought of it is just ridiculous.

RE: Football Banter
chelsea have lodged a formal complaint after they did a "thorough investigation" from players and stewards with advice from outside counsel, hmmmm very biased. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20161095

the ladies only cab firm pink ladies, kerry katona, was sued on the grounds of sex discrimination. all discrimination, even positive discrimination, is illegal. if you are not sure about a company, club etc being discriminatiing against a group of people then there is a legal question to found out that is a "what if" question, eg "what if iam black/gay/female etc?" their response is "we dont let black/gay/female etc to join".

Having a black players union or a racist orgnaization as so subtly put it,would be beneficial 'IMO'
Let's look at this logically, female victims off crime, will more often than not, have a female officer dealing with there situation because studies have shown, the victim feels more at ease to open up and discuss,in a enviroment were she feels comfortable,ie other female.
So why then can we not implement this premis into a 'Professional black players union?'
Once again,I say...Not them and us..just another option, one off which I'm all for.
I hope you understand my analogy.
