Football needs to get a grip on reality before its too late

I thought the new fair play rule was to make clubs live within there means, but I'm sure loopholes have been found and been put into action
I say let more clubs go bust,as my gran used to say "Those who don't hear will feel." And that was usually followed by a good beating for me.

Well I think more clubs might sell the naming rights of their stadium, as a way to earn more cash. It will piss off fans, but owners will say its to help keep the club competitive, which in some ways they are right

It happened to Newcastle, were its called the Sports Direct Arena, but I refuse to call it that. Its a shit name, they might as well have called it The Lesbians Cunt Licking Stadium, as they are both equally shit names for a football club's stadium

For next season they could just extend it rather than rename :

So Aguero could be out for a few weeks for City

I guess Mancini will be spending 20 million on a new striker before the transfer window closes then

The new FFP (Financial Fair Play) is meant to prevent clubs spending more than they earn to gain success. It is supposed to put sides on to a level playing field.

However, as Dan_g mentioned, the City owners renamed their ground in a loophole to secure more money, Newcastle have done it (although I don't know the pure motives behind that) and I expect other clubs will follow suit.
It isn't just stadium rights that are being sold to generate extra cash. Man United are very clever at doing this, largely because of the American owners "know-how." They signed a deal not long ago with DHL who sponsor their training kit for £40,000,000 Rolleyes

Then of course you've got the TV money. For instance, people might question how Wigan can carry on with an empty ground. Well they don't rely on season tickets etc like other clubs in the lower leagues, they rely on the TV rights money from $ky $ports. That and the nice little pay off you receive at the end of the season for playing in the Barclay Premier Greed.

Then you have teams who have punched about their weight, over spent in the past and tried to get into the Premier League but failed who are still trading despite being millions and millions of pounds in debt. You say wind those clubs up.... Well everyone seems to think it would be a great idea to save these sides and thinks it is a tragedy when said clubs reach a financial position of bankruptcy everyone rejoices when a new owner comes and saves them, repaying the debt back 1p to the £. But that's okay, because the club has been saved.

The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.

You guess wrong. Aguero may be injured for a while, but Mancini's already got Balotelli, Dzeko and Santa Cruz, as well as Tevez, and isn't Adebayor still a City player?

Adebayor will be going to Tottenham and Santa Cruz will most likely go out on loan again

Mancini might give Guidetti a chance to shine

My post was really just a little joke, but I guess I'm not much of a comedian

The financial fair play rule isn't enough IMO, the FA should look into owners more closely, we've had so many crooks in charge of us it's unreal. Our previous owner bought the club for 10mil then immediately put that debt on the club, fuck knows how they can do that but it's also what the glazers did. Things need to change......big style

As for naming rights for stadia, I really don't like it, our ground maybe call the Kingston communication stadium but they didn't pay for that, our council decided to name it that after they sold their shares in the Kcom group which paid for the ground
