Just noticed one of my former teachers with some of the Irish athletes. If I remember right I think he's a coach for the Irish boxers

Its a shame its over, the athletes done us proud. Next week we get our Fantastic, massive ego, overpaid,fucks anything with a hole footballers to watch

Hopefully, although its only a tiny, glimmer of hope that some of these footballers have watched the Olympics and learn a thing or two from the fantastic athletes that participated in this years Olympics.

Although people may find it difficult to endure some of the egotistical and overpaid footballers, which will be seen in the next few months at least they know there are plenty of great, hard working and down to earth athletes to look up to in this world.

A great Olympics I must say from start to finish. The best one I can remember anyway

They were speculating on BBC News when the Olympics might come back to London. Given the costs involved and the infrastructure needed, there's no more than seven or eight countries that could mount a serious bid nowadays (there's no way that the 1952 hosts Helsinki, for instance, could ever stage the games again).

So, it's not impossible that we'll all meet up again in 2040 or 2044!
