womens 4 x 400 qualified for the final! dont think they can get a medal with teams like usa jamaica and russia in it! i dont like criticising athletes but how lee mcconell keeps getting into our 400 m team is beyond me, shes been to so many championships and never does anything! a shame nicola sanders has suffered with injuries over the years cos if she stayed injury free she wud hav been pretty special!

My favourite moment today was GB's women's hockey team winning the bronze medal - first time in 20 years we've got a hockey medal. Great achievement, especially after the heartbreaking defeat to the Argies in the semi. Here's the ladies celebrating victory -

Conlon totally out boxed by the Cuban 20 - 10. Fair play to the Cuban, he was brilliant. Conlon should be proud of himself though for getting a bronze

always dissappointing when a olympic gold medal is won in a time which a british woman has ran easily before i think we got spoilt the 1st nite of athletics with those 3 golds! since then apart from christine we aint had a lot to shout about mo tomorrow the pressure is on i forgot robbie in the high jump winning bronze
