team gb track cycling hav really cum out showing what they can do! i think people like brailsford deserve alot of credit!

and to think we can only have only 1 rider in each discipline it used to be 2

just wondering again hoy has won multiple medals at the olympics where as cav hasnt, surely cav is the fastest sprinter in the world and im guessing he could get into the british sprint team and if he really wants that olympic medal or even that gold then surely he shud be riding on the track team in sprints and the keirin! hav i totally got it wrong here and doesnt he like to ride on the track or is he not as quick as hoy and the rest?

Up until 6 years ago, Cavendish was a Track Cyclist.

Cav' did say earlier he doesn't miss the daily training involved in track cycling. You are right, there is no reason why he couldn't make the change again, Wiggins went from track to road, and like Tumble said, Cav' has come from track. I think it is just a personal choice to stay on the road. Maybe the flurry of golds would change his mind.

never used to watch track cycling much, only got in to it last few years! i just thought with his speed, he would be in team sprints and winning golds with hoy and the others! im sure he will find it easier just doing a few laps round a track as fast as he can instead of doing over 100 hundred miles and then a sprint at the end but i suppose its his preference!
