(05-06-2012 09:45 )Roger Patterson Wrote:  If the batsman changes hands in time for the bowler to see it and stop then it constitutes time wasting, because the bowler will stop, so surely KP was correctly warned. If it were otherwise no further cricket would be played due to the existing stalemate.

KP had hit Dilshan for a couple of boundaries by switch hitting.
Dilshan came into ball and KP started moving early, probably getting into position to switch hit. Dilshan saw this move and stopped.

KP is entitled to move in his crease, so long as he does not switch hands and move into a left handed stance. Slow motion proved that he fully complied with the existing rule.

It should have been Dilshan who got the warning for time wasting. The umpires got it wrong on the day, and they were later informed of this by the ICC.

Well now we're into Crickets answer to fast food or T20 as they like to call it.After 2 games in the Friends Life T20 League which both produced games which were dead as far as a contest goes was concerned long before the end.Goes to show that close matches don't really happen as often as those in favour of this form would have you believe.

It might be micky mouse cricket to some but it's always great when Yorkshire put one over on their old enemy Lancashire.Sets it up nicely for the return Roses clash this Friday Live on Sky at 7pm from Old Trafford, which is now looking more & more like LegoLand with the ongoing ground developments.

sad day, was looking forward to the england south africa series. boucher is top there with best keepers, also you would pick him for his batting if he could not keep just like with gilchrist and alec stewart.

Australian paceman Brett Lee has now announced his retirement from 1 day cricket for his country as well as in the 5 day tests.

But he's not retiring from cricket alltogether.
No he's going to finish his career playing IPL in India and earn 'Loads of Money'.

What was being billed as No.1 V No.2 Tests sides the England v South Africa series will now be contended between the No.1 & No.3 sides thanks to the latest & untimely ICC ranking update yesterday. However a tied series or an England win will see them remain on top.
