Last film you watched

After finding the first one quite appalling I am not really sure why I was so dim and weak to hire out Ghostrider 2:The Spirit of Vengeance. Desperation for something new to watch is my defence and at least I hired it rather than bought it! Had to say it was mildly amusing in one or two places. The CGI sfx were awful and as for Nicholas Cages overacting.....
Overall one of those movies that if better directed, with the right cast would have been good. Idris Elba who plays Heimdall in Thor gave a reasonable performance. 5/10

Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm, loved this animated movie 9/10.

John Carter. Not perfect but nowhere near as bad as made out by the critics.

the amazing spiderman: fantastic reboot of the spiderman franchise. Andrew Garfield is very good as peter parker and rhys ifans is a good villain as curt conners/the lizard. the origin story of how peter parker becomes spiderman has been changed a little bit from how its told in the first spiderman film but the key elements are still the same.

great action, great effects, some brilliant funny moments and a very teasing extra bit in the credits that hints at the villain in the next spiderman film

If you watch this this film with the eyes of impartially and not as a fanboy,this is not a bad watch. (good 5.1 recommended)

i watched it in 3d and the film was but the 3d effects were a let down same with the transformers: dark of the moon where i was hoping when oprimus prime or bubble bee transformer from vehicle to autobot it up close and personal where it felt your were inside it.

the avengers (again) still funny the 2nd time. the master which The Other talks to after the credits, it could be mandarin? because he had a green hand which in the comics and cartoon series (various) he was green.

John Carter 7/10 a highly enjoyable movie, quite why it got such bad reviews i don,t know. Great special effects, spectacular to look at and good action sequences make for great entertainment.

Recommended.

Let Me In

I loved the Swedish original,but I can't deny I enjoyed this remake.

Good watch 8/10 I recommend it
