sky captain and the world of tomorrow .with jude law. 6/10.
not bad movie. ,but would have looked better on a huge cinema screen
i think.

prometheus the much anticipated sci fi film from ridley scott. whilst not a direct prequel to alien there are things throughout the film that does tie it in to the alien films. its in a similar style to alien too, slow burning, gradually cranking up the tension until the final showdown

good performances from the cast especially noomi rapace and michael fassbender. the effects are very good

Ya it was on film4 last night, it was good in some parts, but the ending just didn't make sense. The serial killer with the hockey mask was stabbed in the chest and put through some sort of grinder, yet at the end briefly you see him bursting out of the wooden floor. Other than that lots of gory violence, which was great, I love horror films

the pact. 7/10. i enjoyed this. it got a bit of horror and a bit of real life violence. it's different.

There were one or two things that did not tie in with Alien but did tie in with Bladerunner. Ridley Scott did say that it would take 3 or 4 movies to reach the beginning of Alien though. Agree with 8/10 score though.
Its quite ironic that Ridley Scott has made Alien and Bladerunner; two of the most iconic sci-fi movies ever yet states he is not really a fan of the genre!
