Well I guess tonights £14,900,000 tripple rollover lottery belongs in my bank eventhough I haven't bought a ticket.

No title challenging/winning aspirations from me, just a hope we'll get into the top 4 & take it from there the season after.

My thoughts on Roberto Martinez won't change as I'm willing to see what he can do over two seasons, unless we play worse than last season & finish 10th.

From what you say on here you seem like one of the characters that gets asked questions outside Anfield by Sky Sports News & gives it the 70/80 attitude, it's now 2012, son!

Note the date - 26/5/12 - The date when i agreed with some of the posts on here. It's took long enough. Excluding Master Yoda and LODOS. You lads are usually on my wavelength! Wink

Of course the same people i agreed with a few posts ago have gone to form and stuck in a few shockers since!!! Can't have it all i suppose. Rolleyes

I'd be more than happy if Martinez gets the job. It could be a fresh, vibrant, attractive new Liverpool with him at the helm. Give him the licence to go and get whatever players he likes and let him stamp his philosophy on the squad. Do that and i think he'll get us first of all back in the champions league and then challenging for the league title in a season or two.

Director of football... I'm neither here nor there with it if i'm honest. Someone like Van Gaal working with a man like Martinez could be a nice blend of youth and experience or a complete nightmare depending on how they work together.

Liverpool Football Club should be challenging for the premiership every season. It's where the club belongs. Mitchell, my old chum...Top lad but dear o dear fella...Don't bore us with this "what have we ever done in the premier league to deserve better" nonsense. We've earned the right to expect our club to be at the top.

18 titles and 5 european cups plus the rest says so.

If the supporters of the most successful club in england can't expect their team to be up there challenging every year then who can.

You should put a nugget on the lottery,maybe if you come up trumps you can buy Glasgow Rangers & give Robbie M the managers gig (joke,but would be interesting).
RE:Van gaal arrogance,Diggler (kuyt) seems not to have an issue with the man,and as for arrogance itself,your telling me you wouldn't except Jose Mourinho as boss(never gonna happen) probably the most arrogant man in football but one of the most successful?

Come on you of all people who I talk with on here should know we've done fuck all especially on a consistent basis to even suggest we should be expecting to challenging for the Premier League title, we finished second once & throughout that season just enjoyed being up there, maybe the same as Newcastle & the top 4 this season, not expecting but hoping the possibility is real enough. Away from that we've never looked like a title challenging side.

The last of those 18 came in the old First Division & since our 5th European Cup we've had a decent run when we've been in it but not even qualified for 3 seasons now, & next year will be just as tough, but I think a fresh start & a fit squad we should have a great chance to get back in it.

Yeah Dirk & Van Gaal are both Dutch what do you expect, there's still the prospect of him being more trouble than he's worth, besides we don't need a director of football full stop!

We simply haven't been good enough & DON'T DESERVE ANYTHING because we were good decades ago.

With that logic so do Leeds because they were good in the 70s & Forest & Villa because they won European Cups.

I don't give a damn about Leeds or the Hammers,all I care about my boys challenging for titles year in year out.
