Welcome back mate.

Honestly I take no pleasure in Liverpool's demise, okay the out and out Blue in me which sadly occupies less and less of my brain these days, but you Liverpool supporters have to face up to the reality that Everton supporters have had to face up to for over twenty years.

Everton, a fine club, we all agreed, with more than their fair share of top league titles over the years, history, tradition, original member of the Football League, remember if it wasn't for us allowing you in you would be a Christian Sunday League side Wink. Last trophy 1995 FA Cup Final, ooh I was young then I danced especially against SurAlex.

But it means diddly squat. Best player produced for a generation had to be sold to Man United to balance the books, Rodwell will probably get sold to make the bank happy.

History and tradition are fine things, should never be forgotten but there is a generation of Liverpool supporters who have never seen Liverpool win a top flight title, they should have won it the year they finsished second and Torres was on fire.

Champions League title 2005 masked a lot of problems and for the record I got a bit excited by the Liverpool comeback. Who doesn't like a good fightback?

Forget history and tradition, be fucking hard nosed and say we have won nothing. Can they do this? I doubt it. The history pressess hard.

On the plus side, once SurAlec has gone Man United will collapse like a pack of cards, the Glazers will appoint me as manager, I'll fuck them up and all Liverpool fans will be happy. Wink

Oh they will whinge, especially after another twenty years.

Forgetting that when they were top of the pile they used to cherry pick those teams and those players who used to threaten their dominance.

Luckily I've inherited a Siberian oil field from a long lost cousin and am about to invest £2.50 in Everton. We'll see who the mugs are then? Wink

RE: Liverpool FC
groundnpound, we'll agree to disagree on Adam Johnson... well more to agree my oppinion is more fruitful than yours! Wink
He's got the quality to do what Giggs did in the 90's albeit differently given the style of the game now a days. He'd have done a lot more if he didn't jump on the City oil train, but then again he didn't have many option given as soon as they made a bid we shit ourselves.

I'd also have Maxi over Joe Cole but I was going on the basis he's gonna leave but & hopefully that will now change & as the saying goes he could be like having a new player next season especially if played in a 4-3-3 so he's in his naturall position. I think I can speak for all Reds & say I'd love to see him stay & be first choice.

Jay Spearing a good player he justneeds to be given a chance to do his job without too much pressure on him & this hasn't been the case with the combo of Lucs getting injured & us playing shit which brought us under more pressure from teams increasing his workload & meaning every tackle had to count.
Play 4-3-3 & he can come on for the last 20 alongside Lucas & Gerrard which will help jim settle into the role. I see what your saying though but I still think he'll make a good Premier League player even if it's not with us.

Raheem Sterlings good but not as a starter, not just yet anyway, he needs to add a bit of strength first.

I was being realistic. Xabi Alonso we can't afford & probably wouldn't come back anyway & thats if against the odds Real agree to sell, Edison Cavani will cost more that we have to spen unless we sell Downing & Kuyt, I'd love to see Adam Morgan get a chance thats other thing other than the tactics that annoyed me with Kenny, his reluctance to give the young player a chance look at Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Leighton Baines, Come on lad, what would your old man say???

Unless FSG, like City, pay outlandish wages, unless the Liverpool Academy produces the likes of the Man United team of the mid '90's, then what is the option.

Bounce Come on Vimesy your better than that.

Our academy always produces!!!

sweetsugar007 what's the problem with Roberto Martinez, he was the man who started the revolution at Swansea with the playing style they play ith now. He won promotion the the Championship winning the League One title & at Wigan he's saved them from relegation in pretty dramatic style considering some hammerings they've had & some of the top teams they've beat.

The formation & style he plays is suited to 95% of our squad & with the higher caliber of players would be a good match for us, we may not get back into the Champions League in his first season given the alround quality of the Premier League but over his first 4/5 years of his time with us we'd get back in the mix & maybe just maybe make that elusive title challenge, he's a manager who could be here for a good 10 years???

Good to see you are taking the piss out of yourselves, mitchell.

It's the first step on the road to healing and reality.

That'll be like the Man City Academy that always produces yet the freaky billionaire sheikh has gone down the route of expensive players on expensive wages.

Or like Real Madrid with their Academy products ripping the shit out of Europe or Barcelona with one of the highest wage bill in the world with their rightly famed academy who will be lucky if they produce another Xavi or Iniesta in the next forty years.

So Liverpool in the Europa League are going to compete transfer money wise and wage wise with the above.

It's going to cost £500m short term over two years just to get Champions League football.

You are a behemoth of football, Liverpool, fine tradition, fine history and absolutely meaningless in the modern petro dollar game.

FSG know they need to spend that money they are reluctant to do so.

[Edit]

Oh fuck it I can't believe I arguing about the future of Liverpool Football Club. Where has my bitterness gone? I must be getting old.

For old times sake.

I don't give a fuck, I hope you all fuck off die and that you end up in the Nothern Premier League sucking from the teat of Tranmere.

Ahhh, I feel better. Wink

I was being realistic aswell mate. FSG have plenty of dough, don't u worry about that. They've made it clear from day 1 where they want us to be and they're no mugs. They'll know the amount that's roughly gonna cost.

What do u think they'll say to the new manager? "There's a squad full of players that aren't of your choosing, do what u can with them, but we want u in season 1 to get us back in the european cup " " If you want new players, you'll have to sell first"

No chance mate!

They'll sit the lad down and say " Look son, your our man. Go and get the players you need to take this club back to where it should be. We'll back you to the hilt ."

They need to have that sort of belief in the man they choose to take over. "Judge us by our actions" They said. Well.... There next action better be top notch because they are being judged. If they don't get this thing spot on and prove that replacing the King was the right decision then they'll get ran out of town.

Got faith in them though.

Frank de Boer has received an approach from Liverpool regarding the manager's job but has declined the opportunity to be interviewed, saying he wants to stay with Ajax.
