Pep is having time off so he's not a real target. We need to shoot for the stars and see how far we get people like rodgers or martinez are only in the top league a wet day not ready to lead a club of our standing.

Judge me by my size do you? Hmmm? Hmmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the force. And a powerful ally it is.

As an Everton supporter I know I'm going to get pelters for what ever I say on this blog, some may be justified, I don't have the inside knowledge that some of you born and bred in Liverpool fans have not forgetting the world wide fan base, Ireland, who also have things to contribute. (Yes, yes, my friends, that was the bitterest of bitterest comments)

When I was a kid, yes in the Seventies, Liverpool won everything. It was never going to end. My Liverpool supporting class mates never, ever rubbed this in to the their fine upstanding Everton compadres.

Now, you are down amongst the also rans with the Everton, below them in fact, of course being biased I have erased the memory of semi-finals that may or may not have happened.

It will take at least £500 million investment over the next two years to get Liverpool back to challenging for the Champions League never mind the title.

Unless FSG, like City, pay outlandish wages, unless the Liverpool Academy produces the likes of the Man United team of the mid '90's, then what is the option.

It's no good saying, 'we will not sell our history', and fine and honourable history it is, I had to grit my teeth there, when the opposition is saying fine you hold on to your tradition while we pull away never to see you again, see Everton.

New 70,000 seater stadium, ground share with Everton, aaargh, but what about the history, fine get left behind, the Sheikh and Abramovich are not going away. And if they do, God forbid, the next trillionare might buy Everton, I wish, I wish.

Liverpool want: Jürgen Klopp, Fabio Capello, Pep Guardiola, Didier Deschamps, Antonio Conte and Rafael Benitez

Liverpool will end up with: Roberto Martinez or Paul Lambert.

Last time we had joint managers was in 1998 with Roy Evans and Gerard Houllier and it didnt work out with just 2 of them....I cant see how 6 joint managers would work out this time mate!!!!!! Wink Rolleyes

If it was me in charge of our current squad with no new additions, this is what i'd start the season with.

Reina

Johnson Škrtel Agger Enrique

Gerrard Lucas Adam

Suarez Carroll Sterling

SUBS

Doni
Carragher
Henderson
Aquilani
Bellamy
Kuyt
Downing

Me in charge with a few quid to spend on players for one reason or another i could see wearing a red jersey.

Reina

Johnson Škrtel Agger Baines

Gerrard Lucas Alonso

Suarez Carroll Cavani

SUBS

Doni
Carragher
Henderson
Adam
Bellamy
Sterling
Morgan

Andre Villas-Boas has missed out on the Roma job he was being tipped to get and is now being heavily backed with the bookies to be the next Liverpool manger.
