Fascinating story on last night's Proms (though this performance is NOT from there): Ruth Gipps was a composer in the 1940s who was first included in the Last Night in 1942... and then never again. Until last night. And she died in 1999 too. Here was her 2nd symphony, getting an American premiere... in 2018
