This http://lix.in/ thing you have to go through that takes you to rapidshare links makes the rapidshare links not work when I download them. Do I have to join lix.in or is it something else. Thanks in advance.
Welcome to the Forum

Which particular link or Forum Post are you having problems with ?
It's probably due to the files being split into several parts, there's a thread here which may help you... http://www.babeshows.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=3550
I don't have a clue what hj split is. All I do is click the link to rapidshare, download the video and then it doesn't appear.
Hiya Big D
Sorry but are you saying that you actually download the Movie from Rapidshare but it doesnt appear on your Computer? Or that you cannot play the Movie?

Which Movie are you trying to download, if you could post the link prehaps some one could help you through the procedure.

Cheers
Hi Big D,

Lix shouldn't be causing you any problems mate, all it is, is link protection.

Sometimes you can have problems with links not working if they are rar, basically you need to download a few things to help, the first is this - http://www.7-zip.org/ - once you've downloaded a link, use 7-zip's extract option, this will unrar the file, that way the file should be visible as a wmv, flv, avi and so on.
The second thing you should have is this - http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/ - this can be used to join a file that's been split up for easy downloading/uploading.
And finally you should have this - http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ - this will play most video files once you've extracted them Smile.

If you have these installed on your computer, you should have everything you need to unrar, join and then watch, via the vlc media player, any video you download!

Hopefully this will sort your problem mate Wink.

Skully.
Thankyou to everyone who posted help, especially skully for his detailed adviceBig Grin
Damm I thought after downloading that stuff the problem was solved but its still the same. I download the video and then it tries to open a webpage up for some reason, fails to do so and doesn't open my video.
What's the link you're downloading mate, if you can point it out to me, I'll have a look for you.
It sounds like you're downloading the link rather than the actual video. When you save the file it should have .mpg, .avi etc. as the extension. Not .html.
