Englard won by 26 runs
Mark Wood was the star of the day as he dismissed Nawaz & Shakeel before lunch, after they had added 80 runs for the 6th wicket & were steering Pakistan towards victory.
Still a great effort to make the highest score of the match in the 4th innings.
Another unbelievable effort by England I wasn't expecting they were going to do it after seeing the score before I left for work think I must have checked about 3 or 4 times in the first hour when in the office
I not used to seeing this form of cricket.
Where has all the leaving 90% of the bowling.
Where has all the straight defensive batting gone.
What's happened to all the 5 day drawn games.

It's as though test cricket has suddenly become entertaining.Cool
This brain-dead approach as we saw against India in India, in the summer against them & in Australia a year back does not work against the best teams. What is the point of having test teams who bat like it is a 50 or 20 over slog in a five day match? It is all well & good Stokes charging down the wicket from the first ball when his team is 500-4, but not good when his team is 80-4 on day one or a long way behind in the second innings.

At what point do the ECB say enough it enough-the home tests barely going into day 3 & having to dish out refunds is too much & go back to promoting proper batting technique?
Nice to see the pitch inspectors mark down a pitch (First Test) because of it being so flat that - and they described it as I have for a long time - bowlers had little or no chance (ok England found a way) despite the skill levels on show! In the County game bizarrely, a pitch is marked down if it is even a bit lively in the CC. The ICC have it right, and the england authorities have it ass up!
England will give a debut to leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed in tomorrow's 3d Test. He will become England's youngest debutant at 18 teas & 126 days, beating the record held by Brian Close (18 years & 149 days)
Keeper Foakes returns, with Jacks & the rested Anderson making way.
