Late night for me tonight as the Thursday night game this week is Washington Commanders @ Chicago Bears Smile
^^ Maybe not a game worth staying up for. Really have to do more to protect young QB Fields, he got battered. but almost pulled off a win. The Bears dominated in terms of yardage, but didn't have the killer punch. Fields looks an exciting prospect, & a real threat when he takes off & runs.
A rare treat for me tonight, it's not often my team are on early. 49ers @ Falcons 18.00. Despite the possibility of being without 10 starters, the Niners should be too strong for Atlanta. Injuries to key players continue hit the 49ers year after year, when will the luck change.
Patroits owner Robert Kraft had a party for 200 of his closest friends and family.
Elton John was performing and so was Ed Sheeran.

Commentator Al Michaels introduced Robert and his new bride Dana to the surprised guests, who didn't realise that this was really a wedding reception.

Robert is 81 and his new bride is 47, so it won't be a long honeymoon. Wink

Not a good day for the 49er's defense. One of the leagues best pass rusher Nick Bosa was a late withdrawee.

If it had been a Playoff game, Bosa would've seen some playing time, by all accounts it's not a serious injury, I think it was a safety-first decision. Collectively the D should've still had enough.
Mariota only had one incompletion, & that was late in the game. The Falcons were able to run the ball, which was something the 49ers failed to do. Their system doesn't lend itself to playing catch-up, but they still managed to recover after going down early to 2 touchdowns. Jimmy G looked fine, & was let down by his receivers with dropped catches.

That's more like it Smile
Important divisional win for San Francisco against the Rams to keep them in touch with Seattle who also won.

The Vikings keep rolling on with another victory while the Titans also won again.

The Thursday night game saw the Ravens overcome the Buccaneers 27-22.
I have a vested interest in the fortunes of the Ravens given they are my Superbowl outside bet for the season. A lot of their games have been close affairs which will hopefully stand them in good stead IF they make the playoffs Wink.
They are 5 & 3 at the moment.
New York are riding high this year.
The Buffalo Bills (the only team who actually play in the State of New York) are 6-2 dispite being beat by New York rivals the Jets.

So the Jets are 6-3 and the Giants are also doing well at 6-2.

It's probable that all three teams make it through to the play offs this season.
The early game was a points-fest, Dolphins 35 - 32 Bears. Fields almost pulled off a single-handed win for the Bears, with 3 passing TD's & a rushing TD, with a mind-boggling 178 yards from 15 carries. He is the next QB superstar, but needs some help from the rest of his team.
