In the semis Williams beat Jimmy Robertson 4-1 while Wilson beat Elliot Slessor 4-3.
Every time they've said "there goes another big seed" this week, it's been followed by "but Mark Williams has found a way through". It's funny really because he really does have this sense of "well I won everything I need to, see, I got nothing to lose". Glad it's Wilson in there though.
Williams won 6-4 to claim the title. It is the 24th ranking title win of his career.
Wilson never seemed likely to run away with it. Hendry sardonically noted Mark Williams hitting a rare century (or two). Well done them both really.
