Booooooo.
Bloody Carter won 10-3.

Garbage result.
Presumably Carter's first ranking title in years. That'll be him touted by the Beeb pundits in coming months, plus the bloody Champion of Champions too. Booooooo indeed.

At least Ford did well up to the final.
Ding Jinhui and Jack Lisowski are the first big name casualties in the qualifiers. Ding went down 5-2 to Sijun, Lisowski lost 5-3 to Zak Surety.

Once each player plays their German Masters qualifier they can take their Xmas break. The competition proper starts on 29th January.
Scottish Open winner Gary Wilson won't feature in the German Masters in January, going down 5-4 to Scott Donaldson in his qualifier. It was maybe a lot to ask for him recover in time.
Maguire had no problem qualifying for the Berlin stage of the tournament. He got drawn against one of the women, Rebecca Kenna, and he easily won 5-1.

At Ponds Forge, Sheffield, today, the other women players are up against it as well. Baipat Siripaporn is playing one of the players of the season, Tom Ford. Reanne Evans has drawn Tian Pengfei.
Noppon Saengkham followed Gary Wilson out of the German Masters, going down 5-2 to Ashley Carty.

As expected, Tom Ford comfortably saw off Baipat Siripaporn 5-0. Reanne Evans was leading 4-2 against Tian Pengfei, but couldn't put together anything meaningful in the last 3 frames, and Pengfei ran out a 5-4 winner.

(Edit) The German Masters qualifying stage in Sheffield is now over. The tournament resumes in Berlin on 29th January.
Ronnie's giving it a miss. And he's being replaced by - YES! - Barry Pinches Big Grin

Ronnie didn't look well when he was playing his World Open qualifier. I was worried he wouldn't make it to the end. I hope he bounces back soon. There's still a lot of snooker to be played until the end of the season in May.
not suprised ronnie giving this one a miss this man needs a break!
Stephen Maguire got beat, I believe.
