Saw some of the Eurosport coverage earlier. Jimmy White was playing someone equally good in the rankings.
Jimmy won through to play Jack Lisowski in the last 16 - apparently the first person over 60 to reach a Last 16 since Eddie Charlton in 1992 (sayeth the BBC).

Looking at those left, Neil Robertson looks like the biggest name who bothered to be part of it. But I see Big Bob Milkins also reached the last 16.
Milkins also achieved that very rare feat.
A break of 146.
Well done him.

He got a 147 tonight on his way to a 5-2 win over Chris Wakelin. Wakelin earlier did well to KO Neil Robertson in a decider. Big Bob'll play Pang Junxu or Ali Carter in his semi-final tomorrow.
He's just showing off now laugh.

Next up......get a free ball and make a 155 Tongue.
The BBC report wryly noted he's in line for the high break prize too Wink
Semi finals:

Ali Carter v Robert Milkins

Jack Lisowski v Tom Ford
DAMN YOU CARTER! DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!
Both semi finals to a deciding frame.

It's a Tom Ford v Ali Carter final.

Hoping for a Ford win but expecting the opposite outcome. Let's see.

I think it's safe to say so am I Wink I associate this event with Anthony Hamilton breaking his duck for ranking titles, so maybe the omens are there. Ford has had some impressive wins, Carter should hold no fears when he isn't as good as Kyren or Lisowski.
