On This Day 29th March:

2004: The Republic of Ireland becomes the first country in the world to ban smoking in enclosed workplaces illegal, including bars & restaurants.

Eleven years later to the day finds all us fit non-smokers in the Babestation gym, so it must be time for Paige Turnah sitting on a large bouncy ball....

On this day 30th March:

1856 Russia signs the Treaty of Paris, ending the Crimean War.

158 years later sees the similarly historic last night-show appearance on BS by Georgie Darby.

On This Day 31st March:

1889 Official opening of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, constructed for the Exposition Universelle. At 300 metres high, it remains the tallest man-made structure for 41 years.

2014 : In the small hours of the morning, Georgie Darby receives her golden handshake, in the form of a teeny bucket....laugh

(So ends March. I've done a reconnoitre of my caps collection for April, and it looks like slim pickings, M-L-L seems to have taken a bit of a posting holiday in April most years.)
On This Day 4th April:

1828 The splendidly named Casparus Van Wooden patents chocolate milk powder in Amsterdam.

Also of note, in 1975 British sitcom "The Good Life" with Richard Briers, Felicity Kendal, Paul Eddington and Penelope Keith debuts on BBC 1.

40 years after that, here's a bon vivant Paige Turnah bending over a desk....

1722 Dutch navigator Jacob Roggeveen discovers Easter Island

1969 US Supreme Court strikes down laws prohibiting private possession of obscene material.

Entirely unrelatedly , 46 years later sees Maddie Rose bending over a leather sofa in the altogether.

On This Day 8th April:

1820 The famous Ancient Greek statute Venus de Milo is discovered on the Aegean island of Milos, it became widely praised by many critics in the 19th century as representing the epitome of female beauty.

95 years later, here's a bent-over Ashley Emma, argued by many 21st century forum critics as embodying the same ideal.... but with the added bonus of still being in possession of both of her arms....

On This Day 10th April:

1815 Cataclysmic eruption of Mount Tambora in the Dutch East Indies, killing 70,000 people and causing a global volcanic winter.

2015 It is not recorded how many cataclysmic eruptions among BS viewers may have been caused by the sight of a naked Preeti Young.

1881 Spelman College founded as Atlanta Baptist Female Seminary in the basement of the Friendship Baptist Church, Altanta.

In other news, 313 years later here's Delia Rose being... studious... in the BS study.
