399 BC : Philosopher Socrates is sentenced to death by the city of Athens for corrupting the minds of the youth of the city.

Nearly two and a half centuries later, Preeti Young is continuing Socrates work, by bending over a desk in the Babestation office (from which they still haven't removed the vase of roses left over from Valentine's Day)

On This Day 16th February :

600 : Pope Gregory the Great decrees that saying "God Bless You" is the correct response to a sneeze.

Had he lived another 1414 years, quite what he would have said was the appropriate response to Tiffany Chambers and Lolly Badcock having a kiss, we can only speculate at....

On This Day 17th February :

1938 London's Dominion Theatre : the first experimental public demonstration of Baird colour television, in a live closed circuit

If he could only have seen what would transpire 87 years on .....

On This Day 18th February :

1901 H Cecil Booth patents a dust removing suction cleaner

And, in other news, a mere 114 years later, Preeti Young is out in the alleyway among the bins....

^ I suppose Hoover who had a similar invention , had a better name for it.
" I think I'll just Booth the living room" doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

In the blink of an eye, a mere 5 years later, Caty Cole and Sophie Hart are in their little black dresses on the red carpet for the Babestation Oskars....

On This Day February 22nd :
