If find this constant harping on about the 80's most strange. Yes it was a time of glossy Miami Vice aesthetics, certain glamourous music videos and a birth of individualism... but it was also the age of the shell suit and much shit like any other era. Are the babes going to favour us with stripping out of lurex too?! I thought us punters were the ones that were supposed to be burdened with rose tinted glasses for the past. Yes mr boss man it was a time when you got your end away, so what? Is 2018 not able to find its own glamour?
Oddities of marketing aside, I actually agree with much that winsaw has said on this lot. They are at least trying to do things differently, they are obviously attempting something above the occasional tawdriness of the current operators' output and they continue to make the right noises about positive engagement with their audience.
But as silicone says talk is cheap, we await the proof in the pudding now.
