Team GB Ice Hockey are playing in the IIHF World Championship Division 1 Group A over the next few days and today beat Slovenia (who played in The 2018 Winter Olympics and are ranked 9 places above GB in the IIHF Rankings) 3-1

when they tied it up late in the 1st i thought theyd blown it but they managed to get back in front and hold the lead through great defence and goaltending

Gb played fantastic and all the debutants did well, esp Dallas Erhardt who plays for the team I support in Uk Manchester Storm

pretty much yes. GB have to finish no lower than 2nd.

I would say Kazakhstan will be a tough nut to crack considering they won 3-0

GB's next game is in about an hour's time v Kazakhstan

That 6- 1 defeat puts GB down in fifth place so let's hope they get back on track against Poland. I suspect Poland will keep it tight but like they said after the Slovenia game games with Poland, Hungary & Italy are winnable games for Team GB, But seeing how Italy started I reckon they will be just as hard as Kazakhstan and seeing how tight table is beginning to think 9 points might not be enough to qualify but looking more like 10 is needed to be sure.

Surprised to see Slovenia down at the bottom given their seeding/ranking (15th) I expect many expected them to be mid - table.
