I started light jogging/walking a few months ago 3 times a week to further improve my fitness after all the trouble I had over the last year.
I have lost all that weight, some of you on here may remember and I wanted to keep it off by excersise, but gently at first (well I cant diet forever).
I had my check up at the hospital and was given the green light but not to overdo it, and told NOT to push myself too hard or I would be back inside.

Being a Nurdy/Geek Engineer, I studied it, spreadsheeted it, gradually increasing the distance, gradually increasing the pace (small increases).
The walking got less between jogs, eventally I could jog a mile without stopping (elated).
Gradually the jogging has turned into running, and I'm going further as well 2 miles, 4 miles & 6 miles now without stopping which takes me around an 1hr 15m.
Next stop is a Half Marathon 13 miles before Xmas, and a Marathon 26 miles sometime next year.
Crazy.....yes probably!!

Its taking over my life, but I love it, a new passion...........Running, and I'm doing it for me!!
If I can do this, well anyone can.

Its never ever too late to turn your life around Smile
I have started an early morning jog to the bus stop each morning if that counts Blush.
About a 6 minute jog.
Totally knackered by the time I get there though as I have only recently started doing it a few weeks back.
Chronically unfit Sad.

Too many pies WinklaughTongueSad.

Really need to work my way up to greater jogging distances in all honesty. The thought of going to a gym horrifies me bladewave. Especially if they don't have a canteen that sells a good pie Tongue. FFS annoyed. Snookered has eaten all the pies again Rolleyes. Doh Rolleyes.
I only run if they manage to escape Tongue
If god had intended man to run he wouldn't have given him the intelligence to build the internal cumbustion engine.
I like running,I live in North Yorkshire and there's some picturesque countryside to enjoy as you go.
Done some running and gym work a few times recently but i've already lost the motivation for it, maybe if Tori brings out a fitness DVD then i'll stick to exercisinglaugh
