I suspect Ronnie wanted revenge for the Champ of Champs match. Well done him
Starts again in York tomorrow. I see John Higgins is playing dear old Dechawat Poomjaeng in his 1st round match. Bet he's thrilled
Higgins scraped through 6-5
Rod Lawler turned over Anthony Hamilton 6-1 and then got slagged by Barry Hearn for "slow play". Surely if he can make a living out of the Tour then what's the big problem? If Bazza wants tournaments with 128 players in them, then the reality is that 50-100 of them are not going to be top 16 class players. And Tubs Murphy got KO'd by one the other day as well.
seems John Higgins is considering retiring as he says he is just not enjoying playing snooker anymore

At least he lost, though. Mark Williams was expressing similar disinterest, and he won 6-0!
Gives me a rare pleasure to say Stephen Maguire did excellent this afternoon, from 0-4 down against Mark Williams, he rallied and rallied and got through 6-5!
Martin O'Donnell made the win of his career to KO Ding Junhui 6-4 and set up a run-in with Ronnie O'Sullivan.
Joe Perry also did well to KO Judd Trump by the same margin.
Mark Allen and Stuart Bingham came through fairly easily last night, and the winner of that will face Ronnie O'Sullivan or Tom Ford in the Final.
I might put money on Bingham surprising Ronnie to win.
