England squad for the World Cup qualifier against Slovakia in Trnava on Sunday 4 September.

Goalkeepers: Forster (Southampton), Hart (Man City), Heaton (Burnley)

Defenders: Cahill (Chelsea), Clyne (Liverpool), Jagielka (Everton), Rose (Tottenham), Shaw (Man Utd), Smalling (Man Utd), Stones (Man City), Walker (Tottenham)

Midfielders: Alli (Tottenham), Antonio (West Ham), Dier (Tottenham), Drinkwater (Leicester), Henderson (Liverpool), Lallana (Liverpool), Rooney (Man Utd), Sterling (Man City), Walcott (Arsenal)

Forwards: Kane (Tottenham), Sturridge (Liverpool), Vardy (Leicester)

No surprises with the goalkeepers and defenders, since Jack Butland is injured. A big surprise to me that Ross Barkley wasn't one of the midfielders, but Theo Walcott got selected. Jermain Defoe not recalled and since Andy Carroll is injured there's no surprise with the strikers.

There are 5 players from the Euro 2016 squad which are missing from this squad, but that includes Milner who's retired now. Wilshere has hardly played for Arsenal this season, so Barkley is the only surprise omission from the last sqaud I think. Bertrand and Rashford are the 2 others.

I think it is a pity he didn't pick Rashford I certainly would have thought he could have had a major part in this campaign, I very much hope Allardyce doesn't dismiss him completely

Ther is a strong rumour circulating that Jordan Henderson is going to named as Captain
