Sam Allardyce is now the favourite with most bookmakers, with Guus Hiddink in second place with some.
OH FOR FUCK SAKE NO TO BIG SAM !!!
I think the FA should let it go to a public vote x factor style I think Big Sam would be the best choice but I think 'arry's chance has gone I still think he should have got it ahead of Roy when they appointed Roy
Hiddink I can't remember his international credential I think he did manage Holland or another country But the manager a has to say to the FA : 'I want complete freedom with the team no interference' and also they should allow him to look beyond the premiership for players. I bet there are players even at conference level who would give their all for the national team, I reckon this Euro squad I reckon around 60-65% will be missing in the qualifiers but I very much hope the likes of Stirling, Hart Kane and Rooney are not involved in september
I don't understand the hostility towards Allardyce. We praise foreign coaches such as Conte for getting their teams to do whatever it takes to win and that's what Allardyce does so well. The team played a more possession orientated game in this tournament, which many have called for, and it didn't help us progress any further. In my view we need a manager that will instill the sense of team first like Coleman does with Wales and bring with it that win at all costs mentality. This makes Big Sam the standout candidate for me

I'm amazed HP. When you consider where Blsckburn were when he was in charge compared to where they are now, I would have thought he would be a god in your eyes.
i would have thought where u were when he left and where u are now under bilic Wink

think with big sam he pissed a lot of Rovers fan when he said he was 2 good to be managing us and should be managing a top 4 side or a barca or real Wink

also the fact he came in after Hughes who had us in europe a few times and built a great team ok we could be a bit of team to kick lumps out of opponants especially liverpool and arsenal Wink but could also play as well Wink big sam took all the finese away and actually said he could not get us into top 6 we had to be happy with mid table so fans were bored of his style

Mark Hughes 15 September 2004 4 June 2008 188 82 47 59 43.6%
Big Sam 17 December 2008 13 December 2010 90 32 24 34 35.6%
He us certainly up his own arse. Gives himself credit for getting us out of relegation one season without acknowledging that most other clubs would not have allowed him the chance to get out of trouble after he got us in there in the first place. To be fair to him most people who played for him seemed to respect him. I would like to see Eddie Howe get a chance but he won't.
to be honest dont think eddie would get the respect of the players i know he has done great with bournemouth but dealing with premiership sized ego's. think thats why deschamps is doing good with france all the ego's have gone although payet andf kante having seasons of there lifes for West Ham and Leicester is helping
I see Alex Ferguson has now said that Sam Allardyce is the obvious candidate.
Big Sam and Old Whiskey Nose are Friends another reason why Rovers Fans hated him as our manager Wink
