Your expected scenario is also a heavily pessimistic one. This is not the Richards era Ofcom any more; it is difficult to tell if the current regime will react in the same way as the old one did. People's access to the media has changed immensely over the past couple of years and continues to do so at an accelerated rate. It should be Ofcom's duty to reflect that and accommodate its expectations. The regulator has a long list of priorities atm and may well conceive that the current fudge is an adequate and convenient compromise. They have form on such decisions... We can only hope. Presumably BS do too.

I certainly don't watch any bs at all whether they accidentally show on TV or not as it's an internet webcam advertising channel which is a waste of a TV channel

^ I wasn't commenting on the quality of the new TV presentation. And the channels have always been advertising. Before they were ads aimed at callers, now they are for callers and cammers. Something the larger operators seem to have concluded is necessary to the progression of their business. Trying to please two masters is always going to be difficult.

As before it's all about the implementation from producer and babe. Good examples have already been produced.

Plus, BS have created the opportunity to offer a third, middle ground, form of visual presentation (should they wish to pursue it) with the free OSG-less streams online.

The best their ads have to offer no longer have to be confined to the odd slip creeping through on TV anymore. Even from your pov, I wouldn't say that was entirely pointless.

If people want to watch the webstream and get excited about stuff that Ofcom have no control over, then fair enough, but this thread should be sticking to genuine daytime flashes and slips, otherwise what's the fucking point of it??
