With all respect the Australian football team are shite. Full of Serbian and croatian cast offs. They have had some tasty sides in the past but certainly don't have one in the present.

Hungary have beaten Norway 3-1 on aggregate to become the 21st country to qualify for the finals. Their play off victory means it's Hungary's first major tournament finals in 30 years, since the World Cup in 1986. The Euro 2016 finals draw takes place on 12 December.

I have to say that with all due respect Hungary were one the big powerhouse sides in Europe in the past, and to see them back in a major finals competition again is great.

Ireland have qualified tonight with a 3-1 aggregate win over Bosnia. They will be in pot 4 for the finals draw, with Iceland, Wales, Albania and Northern Ireland (and one other still to be confirmed, most likely Turkey).

Ireland could possibly draw both the countries they qualified with, Germany and Poland. Their group could look like this:

Germany, Italy, Poland, Ireland

They would no doubt prefer something like this:

England, Switzerland, Hungary, Ireland

Sweden and Ukraine have taken the last 2 places in the finals, with Ukraine winning a play off for the first time in 6 attempts.
