There were plenty of fuck-ups on ChatGirl TVX but nobody bothered with their threads.

Simple fact - most people will not bother reading about channels which don't interest them, whether there are fuck-ups or not.
Silly comment my arse, how can you measure a channel's popularity by way of using this forum's viewing tally?
Why does a certain channel's thread get so many views? Does a single view equal a happy customer?

I would speculate that most views come from people who already know where to go looking to find the heated/amusing debates (S66 has had many) regardless of fault or blame on their behalf.

Babestation are nowhere near as cynical as you make out and nowhere near as stupid either. What you describe as a marketing ploy would be such a monumentally stupid marketing ploy that it's hard to believe that given 5 minutes they couldn't think of at least 20 better marketing ideas.
Marketing is a trade for those with no other discernible skill or intelligence; you may therefore be correct that it was a half arsed cock up but I would argue that the channel (whatever they choose to call it going forward) is now recognised and, in this case being debated. It's landed in our consciousness for better or worseShy

I think BS are quite sharp (rather than cynical perhaps) in what they do. There is certainly no lost cash on some US adventure just have to get the graphics man to change a few things now
Hmm

Babestation blog recent posts still link to pages with Babestation Xtreme and even Sexstation banners :

a recent post about yesterday nights BSX show even appears below a Sexstation banner under one link.

Suggests they're not as fastidious about "brand purity" as the commentators are : they're happy to change names as they see fit but not waste time and money updating logos and branding and such in every single corner of their "empire" ? Smile

No chance I'm afraid.

Something like 90% of views in this forum come from guests - who most likely have no interest in heated/amusing debates.

You can't - and I never said you could.

I said the forum is a good indicator of how much interest there is in a channel.

ChatGirl TVX is a classic example - it was virtually ignored in this forum most of the time.
Louise Porter's chat thread has more views than Tiffany's and Camilla's and i'd say Tiffany and Camilla are way more popular than Louise, but i think we all know why Louise's thread has more views

That's a bogus claim.

Add up Camilla's threads and compare it to Louise's - Camilla has about double the views does she not?

Then add up Tiffany's threads and compare that to Louise's views - about 3 times as many is it not?

I doubt that a marketing ploy so disastrous could actually exist. Anyway it will be interesting to see what happens with the channel now. I did see Cali on there last night. I wonder if some newcomers will still materialise?
okay folks, here we go.

Studio66 USA was really LA Direct Models on a Studio66 show. It was never a long term plan like Starlets, but a partnership with a US company (run by an ex-pat Brit) and as we were told by porn aficionados, there were less porn bookings during the months that the show existed. So if you own a babeshow why not see if you can fill that gap, and if you own a company that handles porn star bookings, you go for it because babeshows still offer work during that time.

Starlets is a long term plan, but the name has changed, big whoop. BS will still want to have the younger girls ready to replace the older girls they have. Plan for the future if you have a roster of girls that won't be doing the job for the long term. Really, who do you think is more likely to be on the shows in a few years time, the BS roster or the Starlets Roster? The concept lives on

Opinions probably don't matter, it's just companies being companies, but it plays out on TV, because they broadcast 24/7
