I suppose Glenn is saying its good to get that trip to the jungle out of the way first because they've got the time to at least try and prepare for that climate or near to it. Of course Fernandez we know it's a nightmare group anyway, but it would have been even tougher if we're playing Uruguay first with the Manaus jungle game still to come afterwards.

There's no two ways about it - this will need a monumental effort to do anything in Brazil. Italy we've always had so many problems against, Uruguay with Suarez will be unplayable in that heat and Costa Rica we don't know anything about. Should, I say should, beat them - but it may be already too late by the time of that game. I'm really disappointed with the draw. Surely even the press can't pile the expectation on after that outcome - not this time. What a bum draw we got - and what a wonderful draw France got by comparison.

im not one for blind optimism but the reaction is a bit OTT, are uruguay that good? apart from the front two who else do they have that are very good players? a draw with them is more than possible then it is a fight to see who can beat costa rica by more goals to get the runners up place. unless italy and uruguay plan to draw with each other and knock us out

England will do very well to get out of that group cant see them doin it to be honest. Could be worse though they could be where australia are. Would love to see the belgians go the distance some serious quality in that team
