Unbelievable to me that having won umpteen World and European titles this year, after her successes last year Laura Trott not on the list, baffling. Anyway she's my sports star of the year
Probably going to be between Farah and Murray realistically. Given the length of time between British champions at Wimbledon though, I reckon Murray will most likely edge the win.

The ladies really get overlooked quite spectacularly don't they? Baffling really Huh

yes he did, but others have won it twice and with his 4000th winner coming this year, broken every bone in his body, facing death or disability in every race, he is the ultimate sportsman and the greatest jockey ever who may never be matched. His dedication is unreal, sits in sub zero chambers to speed recovery from broken bones,Important

Trott missed out this year and last year, she should have made both.

Biased as I support them but Bradford City for Team of the Year.
Spoiler: Show
Murray or McCoy for me.
I agree with those who said Laura Trott should have been nominated. She's a genuinely amazing athlete who was born with a collapsed lung and suffers from Asthma. However, as she isn't in it i think it's Mo Farah's turn. He should have won it last year to be honest.

As much as i admire Chris Froome's achievements i reckon the fact that Wiggins got there first might just take him out of the running..
For me the biggest winners this year are Andy Murray (tennis - first British man to win Wimbledon in 77 years); Chris Froome (cycling - Tour De France), Justin Rose (golf - US Open); Ben Ainslie (sailing - Americas Cup) and Laura Trott (cycling - UCI World Track Championships). Laura not even on the shortlist is a bizarre decision. Huh

From the names on the shortlist my top three would be:

1 - Andy Murray
2 - Justin Rose
3 - can't decide between Froome / Ainslie / Ohuruogu

I mean no disrespect in any way to any of the other names on the shortlist, each have made massive achievements in their sports. The five I've mentioned above for me just stand out most.
