Champions League semi-final draw.
Real Madrid vs. Bayern Munich
Athletico Madrid vs. Chelsea
does it mean Chelsea will play home first? because both madrids cannot play home at the same time
the games are on different nights (the 22nd and 23rd) so it should be ok.
Think it's 50/50 for the athletico/Chelsea game, if athletico had the 2nd leg at home I would have leaned slightly more towards them
Courtois will not be allowed to play for Atletico now as he is on loan from Chelsea and if he was to play Atletico have to pay chelsea 8m Euros...
Once again a 50/50 tie against Atletico, so hard to call. Us having the second leg at home is massive though... Can't wait!

According to UEFA he will be able to play against us, and by the looks of it Chelsea would be punished if we tried to enforce the contract stipulation that says Atletico would have to pay the fee:
"Any provision in a private contract between clubs which might function in such a way as to influence who a club fields in a match is null, void and unenforceable so far as Uefa is concerned.
"Furthermore, any attempt to enforce such a provision would be a clear violation of both the Uefa Champions League and the Uefa Disciplinary Regulations and would therefore be sanctioned accordingly."
However when Celtic played Elfsborg last year and had Bangura on loan, UEFA came out with this:
"As we, in line with the FIFA regulations on status and transfer of players, consider a loan to be a transfer, we do not have any regulations regarding players not playing against their parent club whilst on loan to another club. If a player is duly registered on the player list of IF Elfsborg then he can play against any team that Elfsborg are drawn against."
"Any agreement between the two clubs that this player wouldn’t play against Celtic should Elfsborg be drawn against them is purely between the clubs. UEFA would not have any involvement or consideration of this agreement, it would be neither endorsed or enforceable by UEFA."
I swear they make up the rules as they go along
I think courtois will play against chelsea. Need the best players to play!! Chelsea will probably find a way of not allowing him to play

Chelsea will have to make any away goal count this time I think, they cannot afford to capitulate again away from home like they did against PSG. They will have too much for Atletico but the way Atletico tumbled Barcelona out of the competition, suggests to me that it will be tough but a 0-0 draw probably would be a fair result. I fully expect Bayern to be too strong in the other semi, but I think both sides are well matched and I wouldn't be surprised if it's a Atletico - Bayern final.
And Atletico will definitely need Courtois to play against Chelsea and to be on top form.

I think Chelsea will probably find a legal loophole that
wouldn't allow him to play. But in all fairness, when you think about the cup tied rule that exists here, it's something that should be adopted at European level more stringently.
